Contestants should present a high fashion sportswear that a model could wear to a fashion event during the day. This should not be the basic business sportswear or creative sportswear. We are looking for a sportswear with a flare. The sportswear should also be a complete package with accessories (if needed). If you pick a season, where you should have a hat and gloves, we want to see that. This category gives you the chance to be YOU! The majority of points, in this category, come from your ability to sell your sportswear to the judges and overall appearance in the SEASON you have chose to present.

Formal Wear will be the most debonair outfit you will wear during the pageant. It should compliment your physique and be a statement of your style and taste. The suit and accessories should be in perfect condition. No strings should be anywhere on the suit (this includes sleeves, neck, hem, along the zipper & buttons, or at any seam). There shouldn't be any tares in any part of the fabric. The suit should be stain free and wrinkle free. It is the contestant's responsibility to take care of the suit and keep the suit in perfect condition for the duration of the pageant. There should be no break in the gown (it should hang straight). The sleeve should be no shorter than the wrist, and no longer than an inch below the wrist unless the design of the shirt is longer. Jewelry should not be over powering. Shoes should complement the outfit. Shoes should not be scuffed, worn at the toe or heel. Modeling should be a slow easy pace. If a judge wants a closer look, he/she may motion the contestant to the judges' table. The contestant will make a slow turn, facing the back of the stage, pause, and turn to the front of the stage. Do not point out accessories or features of the suit while the application is being read. We emphasize the suitability of your suit. This SHOULD BE a formal wear that can be worn to a social event (i.e.. Inaugural Ball, Grammy's, Opera, Broadway Play, etc.) Can you move around in it comfortably? Can you sit in it? Can you model it with ease? All these things play a factor in your score.
